2012 the year of biggest economic gambles since world war 2 - can you help

At the end of last year I attended 2 summits in Brussels. I could have fallen off my seat- there was the president of the EU and the top 3 directorates (and minsters from UK , Poland (eu chair 2011), Denmark (EU chair 2012) saying that the last chance to save europe from a generation of underemployment was to search out social solutions that work economically in one community and to invest in replicating them to any other community in similar need. Next they rolled out the reformed venture capitalist (and intriguingly by birth an Egyptian Jew) sir ronald cohen from the uk. He said the good news was he had worked out that charities had 100 billion pounds of dormant assets.

He has some tool "social impact bonds" which lets charities mortgage the buildings and other passive assets they sit on. So europe is going to take on last bet that it can search out the social solutions and play charity snap with them.

 

Is this good news or bad news?. For Britain it may be bad news because I doubt whether top people will turn out to be best at searching social solutions with such urgency. I suggest that youth and netizens like you need to find ways to collaboratively publish good solutions guides- how do we make tehse as popular as good restaurant guides in time for social impact bonding to make 201os youths most productive decade. Cpould we start by agreeing the 10 most exciting social solutions postcards to try and publish and hand out to crowds at london olympics- wish ypou were here at each social solution!

 Why not tell us first of all which places or practices you spend your time searching solutions for ; and tell us a few of r favorites in that if you were to put all your reputaion that the relevant charity backed that one it would renew the enst the ent generation could be spending their time on. The last thing we want to do is suberime chariteis assets by getting the wrong matches
