Discuss how to make banking sustainable

What sort of banks do you want around you? I want ones that invest in people's productivity not fuelling bubbled up demands. I dont want banks to behave like casinos and then say we are too big to go bust but nor do i want my savings to be unsafe when I keep my money in a bank. Why did globalisation make such simple needs so difficult. For the sake of debate : I believe every community could do with a grameen type bank -please tell me why you think I am wrong.
