The Global University of Poverty - Curricula Welcome

End Poverty is number 1 job of any keynsian and millennials; future capitalism

"The no formula for peace:"

The world`s income distribution give a very telling story. 95% of the world income goes to 40% of the population while 60 % of people live on only 6% of world income. Half of the world population lives on 2 dollar a day. Over 1 billion people live on less than a dollar a day. This is no formula for peace! "
Muhammad Yunus, The Nobel Prize Lecture

What is the formula for peace outside the global monetary system that we have today?

Economical segregation and a capitalistic apartheid system are threats to peace. What do we do?

The aim of this discussion is to get as many as possible to understand that we have to included all human beings in the new monetary systems that we create on the planet. It is a human right to live out of poverty.

"The frustration, hostility and anger generated by poverty cannot sustain peace in any society. For building stable peace we must find ways to provide opportunities for peopel to live decent lives"
Muhammad Yunus, The Nobel Prize Lecture

How can we make sure that the leaders of tomorrow - the youth and the children of today - understand and sustain a system that takes this into account?

celebrate the good news formula by ending poverty's evils - gandhi's whole truth system maps of society multiply microentrepreneurs economics maps of sustainability in uniting YOU & US to end poverty:
we are people sans frontiers- why would we want a child to have a one in three chamce of being born to zero chance of productive life let alone peace; why would we want women who most want to sustain community and health to own less than 5% of assets and decision-making power; why would we want to extract everything from the planet in the last 90 days leaving the devil to take the hindmost on where climate or peace collapses next ane terrorises through badwill networks

SMALL CHANGE, BIG CHANGES of MICRO
end poverty as a broken system

ensure every being from childhood up has rights of health, education, credit (when ready to start up income generating business around their own deepest service competence)

use the net to bring down to zero degrees of separation on life critical info

ensure rights governance and services is embedded in community not governed over it

understand how to map C B A this system transformation of networks being more connected than separated - peace is cause by doing no evil especially at boundaries - Gandhi worked out the social whole truths of this 102 years ago but only the opportunity and the risk of www makes this opportunity to transform to a win-win-win integration of community to community world trade possible -of course in doing this we get rid of the reason why nations stockpiled nuclear arms (wasting 15+% of all human wealth on such weapons) as well as other wastes caused by being afraid to collaborate - currently the biggest failed new innovation is not already enjoying solar as abundant clean job creating at every locality

wars are ultimately caused where people don’t have access to opportunities to make the most of their lives and sustain their next generation

- by uniting round ending poverty (seen as a failure of the system to let half of the world be productive) we can end all badwill - every once in 2 generations we get this challenge - think ogf how world war 2 ended europe's belligerent hostory with the EU (only later for this to have land policies that cause loss of peace in eg africa); howver today's double jeopardy generation crisis is different; this time not peace mapping will colapse the whole world in never ending hate and climate fear and wall street greed and compounding trillion dollar global market irresponsibility- not just one region

as presented to a 500 person Gandhi conference in Delhi 204 ultimately we are in the mother of all wars between goodwill networks and badwill ones - a system can only ever spin more and more trust or less and less; more trust system attract each other as dismally do less trust (lose-lose-lose) ones; due to the world's biggest maths error globalization has been spinning more lose-lose-lose (big brother) power than win-win-win

there is no earthly chance in the planet of peace unless we all collaborate in changing the maths- the maps are simple; 100000 Bangladeshis already use them ; since 1997 they have shared the ,maps with nearly a million MICRO (community up systems); the Nobel peace prize to yunus 0f 2006 multiply this goodwill networking even faster with one example being how citizens everywhere asked yunus at time of Nobel prize to start yunus forum - the log of this is told at 2 webs MY.org and YForum.net; next Yunus wrote a book on how to partner between the world's biggest powers and the world's most communally grassroots innovation services- this ning is edited by some alumni of yunus including
1000 book club
fans of lets peer to peer train more Sambas than MBAs
10000 youth dvd dialogue
any other way you suggest to us to collaboratively scale up this good news and its application to whatever you identify as the greatest local need without which there will be no hope of peace
PART OF THE NEW FORMULA FOR HIGHER LIFE QALITY?

How wil the future of capitalism relate to not only a GDP, but on GWB - general well-being?

Well-being can't be measured by money or traded in markets. It's about the beauty of our surroundings, the quality of our culture and, above all, the strength of our relationships.

Life is not about money? When will the governments set other measurment for success of operation and managment of a country/nation state?

A culture of peace, has not money as the first objective - but as a wheel to inhance life quality and well-being for all its citizens.

Economical growth is the dream on one hand, but on the other hand - we will have to measure growth differently in the future? How will we do it?

- Career and Job Satisfaction (CJS)
- Working Conditions (WCS)
- General Well-Being (GWB)
- Work Life Balance (WLB)
- Stress at Work (SAW)
- Control at Work (CAW)

- and to have a money and to increase value thoughout ones life.

How is the life quality for its children? It this part of the new measurment index for countries, for regions, for the whole globe?

How is this related to Natural Capitalism?
Human cannot eat money. How is our life quality at risk when the water to drink is all poluted?

How is Natural Capitalism part of the new paradigme of global financial systems as well as governments understanding of their profound measurment of happiness of its people?

How are we sure that companies are not stealing and eating the the future of the children in our society? Stealing the well-being of future generations.

How do people take a share in increasing GWB at the same time to increase the value or sustain its natural systems?

Is micro finance and micro credit still part of money mania that we have to overcome, even though we all need more money than ever?

How is a micro system a way to sustain our planet?

....

Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution , 1999 co-authored by Paul Hawken, Amory Lovins and Hunter Lovins.

In Natural Capitalism the authors see the world's economy as being within the larger economy of natural resources and ecosystem services that sustain us. This implies that we should attribute value to things such as human intelligence and cultures to hydrocarbons, minerals, trees, and microscopic fungi. The authors argue that only through recognizing this essential relationship with the earth's valuable resources can businesses, and the people they support, continue to exist. The book has many practical suggestions for companies interested in a sustainable future.[2]

According to the authors, the "next industrial revolution" depends on the espousal of four central strategies: "the conservation of resources through more effective manufacturing processes, the reuse of materials as found in natural systems, a change in values from quantity to quality, and investing in natural capital, or restoring and sustaining natural resources.

...

What are your perspectives on micro finance related to a concept of Natural Capitalism?
Polycapitalism?
Micro investment in nature?
I have re-edited the top of the main page. One worldwide way to make sure that Natural Capitalism and Future Capitalism are indesparable is to help alumni of Dr Yunus fulfil his collaboration wish on microenergysummit -one of 7 peoples or microeconomics summits ensourages us all to network. But please do note that all sustainability capitalisms are already integrated into microcredit the way it has evolved in Bangladesh. Because poor villager women selected back in 1980 their 16 decisions defintion of sustainability community investment: ecology, eductaion, health were core to their community banking from the first day that Grameen was officially granted bank status in 1983. As living proof of this, video 3 shows how investmenst made by Grameen's 7 million female owners since 1996 have turnmed bangladesh into the world's leading nation in installing community solar power. If you look at the microeconomics and microentrepreneurial career of Obama and his mother's mentoring, I suggest that if Dr Yunus or Barrack Obama were to found a sustainability university its action learning courses would be more than compatible than any 2 other world leaders we could imagine what-iffing in this way. This is why I contend that the next 12 months involves a once in a generation crossroads and we hpe that yunus10000 provides one way of engaging at least 10000 youth in being core to this wholeplanet choice.
Dear Chris!

YES - I think you should suggest that Dr. Yunus and new President of the US should establish a University on Sustainability incl action learning and micro funding of its 12 month study, incl. paybak models and a strategy for funding of Social Business.

Leve 1. Adults and on the job training, eks in partnership with HEC in Paris, other University
Leve 2. Young adults, jobless and out of university, also in parttnership with HEC, its global partnership of universities.

Internship; case studies:
Communities, muncipalities, all over the world - will apply to be part of this network. Grameen internship program is already in place.

The main question: where, who, how in the US will qiick off the partnership. As an outsider from the other side of the world. I think it has to be in Washington DC( New York) , New Orleans, California West, Chicago.

How is Clinton relevant?

And other sponsors of relevance will come if Obama says YES to an invitation from Dr. Yunus.

A global culture of peace starts with getting over the apartheid system of economical segregation!!!

I was not suggesting that a Global University of Poverty needs a headquarters . The alumni are much needed as per the quote of Bill Gates last year when he said his one regret avout Harvard was not a second of knowledge was imparted abouth the bottom half of te world. Dr Yunus is very much for action learning at the grassroots. What's most needed is for a network of world famous microeconomists headed by eg obama and yunus oi sign each year a list of millennium action projects - eg end malaria by 2015 and not take no for an answer. In parallel we need mass media getting behind this as in my dad's 1984 script

All millennium goals are doable -and a University mainly needs to celebrate how the impossible turned out to be doable once systems were designed from grassroots networking up - but not by macroeconomists sitting in ivory tower or white houses. Its telling when you go to Dhaka - there is Grameen surrounded by a slum ; in the one posh part of town of old colonials reside all the international NGOs.
No, we are not suggesting a Global University of Poverty and a HQ for it. We ar suggesting an conceptual adjustment of "poverty is not normal" as core value in people head ....covered like a carpet around the world - a branding concept like Coca Cola

However, we need toolbooks and toolboxes to manifest and to put it into action. This will be /should be/ will happen in partnership of existing institutions in our society - like university, foundations, NGOs, companies - it is a questions about who is taking use ot this new opportunity in the collaps of global capitalism version 1.01 - and how to have the new chapter of global capitalism version 2.02 - evolution and adaption to something that is better - and not a construction of a system that has presented a no sustainable performance - ecological collaps as well as a collaps of social organizations like a company (eg GM) ......the power of a HQ is in its relationships today - in the capacity of ordinary people to work together - in saying this I also conceptually define a top-leader, whoever unemployd, to be an ordinary citizen of the world: the lessons learned from the people in the driving seat of system that is collapsing are facing the best learning experiences of ad-hoc- real life adjustment to a world view that is not solid ....and they should hopefully be able see the opportunity of being part of something new ...?
Here is our position on peace which first appears in the founding paper deliver to Clinton, exactly 5 years before the attacks of 9/11

"Once a nation or government puts people in the position of defending their own lives, or that of family and friends, and they all will die if they do nothing about it, at that point all laws, social contracts and covenants end. Laws, social contracts and covenants define civilization. Without them, there is no civilization at all, there is only the law of the jungle: kill, or be killed. This is where we started, tens of thousands of years ago."

"By leaving people in poverty, at risk of their lives due to lack of basic living essentials, we have stepped across the boundary of civilization. We have conceded that these people do not matter, are not important. Allowing them to starve to death, freeze to death, die from deprivation, or simply shooting them, is in the end exactly the same thing. Inflicting or allowing poverty on a group of people or an entire country is a formula for disaster. "

The location chosen for the first recommendation was Tomsk and the neighbouring secret city of Seversk, where nuclear weapons and underemployed physicists were in abundance.

With this under way, the author moved on to Crimea and made the next recommendation for the repatriated Tatar community with a proposal which anticipating another Kosovo compared the return on investment of Tomahawk Cruise missiles with the full cost recovery microfinance approach pioneered in Russia.

After interference from local government which he would not tolerate, came an interview with the leader of the Tatar disapora in Washington, where he describes these "swords to ploughshares" approaches and the insufficiency of conventional capitalism as an economic paradigm. This is 2004, 4 years prior to the conflict in Georgia and current concerns about Ukraine.

From 2004, when we joined forces for peace and against poverty, there was another comparison in mind. Military spending on Iraq had reached $3 billion a week. We aimed to illustrate how for less than the cost of a week in Iraq, democracy could be engendered through investment and full cost recovery in microcredit, broadband infrastructure and reform of welfare.

Part of the paper, described as the microeconomic 'Marshall Plan' proposed a faculty for social enterprise in Kharkiv National University. At the same time, others made the case in a separate paper for investment in the fundamental science laboratory of this university. it was the location where the USSR's H-Bomb had been developed.

Both papers reached the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2006 and in 2007 cooperation began for the production of medical isotopes, from this facility.

At least our PM Gordon Brown is reading the same script. Well, almost.

We are, the world are touching an opportunity at this moment: we all see the crazyness of the money being used in war!
It is like we have to stop that money stream - there should be NO cash available to support wars!

Is this not our fact???? The money that has been just gone away from our Financial Institutions have gone directly into war industry -> creating no sircular loop exprect more arms and more killing......

Sure a lot of moeny goes into wast created by our consume ending in landfills....and also huge villas with swimming pool. The California dream is burning these days - burning houses - burning money. Can anyone answer what the 1000 families in LA do to get their houses up - do they get the money and start where their old house was planted - or do they re-locate to another city /community. It is a power in that fire.....it is part of the hate towards "the rich and famous" and also is also a reality of hot climate. How can this power be used to really get a focus on - and to increase the speed of microeconomic 'Marshall Plan' . US and President Obama has no other solution!!!!

Can we try to make a write up on the the microeconomic 'Marshall Plan' - with reference to the two last posts.
I have not looked into details of the links attached - but will use some time to do that.
Jeff! You have it all in our mind - are you able to abstract even more your perspectives? It might be that you have it all in your mind, as a bleuprint on a very unique perspectives.

I am reminded of a presentation I made in 2004 to 500 Gandhians in Delhi on the coming wars between badwill and goodwill networks

If we go back to thread's title question, it may be easiest to answer by starting with the converse - what is the capitalist forumula for war. Whilst many wars may have finally been lit by mad -or more often insecure - rulers, there has usually been a systemic crisis compounding conflicts over decades. for example Europe's world wars were caused by empires that felt they had too few colonies (resources) to feed the industrial revolution

so capitalist peace is actually systemised - as the original US DoI stated by developing national values, institutions practices empowering all people to lead productively happy lives- make a secure living so faimiles can develop harmonioiusly and win-win-win trades sustain

with the 1980s events of a generation going global and the end of multiple superpowers we had an opportunity to design a global that sustained peaceful capitalism; we missed that bus but now the particular warring global capitalism has bust itself in its own speculative greed so we are at a crossroads, if we want to develop global 2.0 around peace capitalism we need to peer to peer a large scale and multicultural awareness of how designing community rising systems micro-inter-macro is exactly the opposite of global 1.0's macro-inter-micro

I wish to develop a new page on this theme at the web I co-edit called http://obamauni.com - do tell me if you have any webs where you want to post some content on this
This might be an interesting and informative source on conflict in the 20th century.
